When things happen or change unexpectedly from one way to another, we discussed how we have to adapt or be flexible to the situations that arise at both home and school such as moving school and having to make new friends and having to adjust to a new environment. Changes at home could be the arrival of a new baby sibling or having to move house or adapting to new home life routines.
During our sports activity this week the children experienced changing positions within a team game. We gave the children positions at the start of the game i.e goal keeper, defender, midfield and attacker and then asked them to move to a different position on our call. They had to adapt and be flexible to this new role in the game and experience how each position was different and came different responsibilities.
